Lt. Gen Garry Trexler (Ret.)
Overview
Lt Gen Trexler’s last military posting was Deputy Commander United Nations Command; Deputy Commander US Forces Korea; Deputy Commander, United Nations Command; Commander, Air Component Command, Republic of Korea (ROK), and Commander, Seventh Air Force, Pacific Air Forces, Osan Air Base, South Korea. Prior to his command in the Republic of Korea, Lt Gen Trexler was the Director of Operations for U.S. Pacific Air Forces (PACAF). His duties there included supporting operations in the Middle East, the Korean Peninsula, Humanitarian Operations in the Pacific area of responsibility, contingency planning, and training & equipping PACAF assigned forces.
As the Director of Operations, Lt Gen Trexler was designated as the Area Air Defense Commander for the Hawaiian Islands and Guam plus served as the Commander, PACAF Air Operations Center. During his assignments in NATO (Operation Allied Force), Headquarters PACAF and finally as the Air Component Commander in South Korea, Lt Gen Trexler was at the forefront of the Air Force’s Air Operations Center weapon system and Distributed Control Ground Station (DCGS) evolution. Through actual operations and training exercises, Lt Gen Trexler pioneered infusing modeling & simulation, operations analysis and Live, Virtual & Constructive (LVC) Training at the operational level of warfare. He has continued those pursuits as a consultant.
